My name is Alexander Ciaravino, and I am a Fine Art photographer from Binghamton, New York. Prior to receiving my B.F.A. from Binghamton University, I received my A.S. from SUNY Broome and was a U.S. Marine Corps Noncommissioned Officer.
My first experience with photography was back in high school, with a film camera. Not long after finishing this class, I had purchased my first DSLR camera, a Canon Rebel T3i. For a while, I would just play around with it and take photos of whatever appealed to me in the moment. But for a stretch of time, I had put it back in its bag and tucked it away.
Fast forward to May of 2017, our daughter was born. I knew that I wanted to raise her to appreciate the outdoors from the get-go, and so we did just that. I brought out my old camera and began documenting all of our travels. Sure enough, this brought back the love and reason I bought a camera in the first place. From there, my art evolved.

As I have grown, I have come to realize that photography is not an "individual sport". Branching out and making friends with other photographers is truly the reason why my work is, what it is right now. These wonderful people, who I can call best friends, have been a huge support in what I do. They are who I come to with questions, and they are the ones who always push me to the next level. So, to those of you who have helped me along the way, I thank you.
To those of you reading this and interested in learning about my work, I also thank you. I am truly passionate about landscape photography, and more importantly our environment. To me, the camera is a tool of empowerment, in which I can bring awareness to the benefits that the outdoors brings to us.
Cheers,
Alex
